Allstar Services’ Centralized Reporting Platform

Microsoft Fabric Implementation

Allstar Services partners with contractors across North America, helping them grow through operational support and technology. As the company continues to expand, managing performance data across dozens of brands has become increasingly difficult, with information spread across multiple systems and divisions.

To keep scaling, Allstar needed a way to connect each system to understand the full story.

The Project At a glance:

01

Challenges

With data trapped in separate systems, it was hard for Allstar’s leadership team to get a complete, up-to-date view of performance across their network.

02

Solutions

Extrada Tech built a unified data platform using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI that brings all of Allstar’s critical data sources together into one connected environment.

03

Results

Allstar now has real-time visibility across every brand and region, automated reporting, and a reliable foundation to support continued growth.

Expanding Operations With Clarity

As Allstar added more brands and partners, so did the number of systems in use, from project tracking to financial software to call analytics.

Each tool worked fine on its own, but none of them spoke the same language. Pulling reports meant exporting spreadsheets and merging data manually. The divisions across Allstar were siloed using different assumptions and disparate systems, which made it difficult to accurately compare performance.

The leadership team wanted one place where they could trust the data, spot trends, and make confident decisions without waiting on manual updates.

One Connected Data Platform

Extrada Tech helped Allstar turn their collection of disconnected systems into a single, easy-to-manage reporting environment.

Using Microsoft Fabric as the foundation, the new solution automatically pulls data from all of Allstar’s key systems (including project management, finance, and marketing) and organizes it into one secure, consistent source.

From there, Power BI dashboards give leadership a live snapshot of how each brand is performing, what’s driving results, and where to focus next.

Technical Overview: How It All Comes Together

For those interested in the framework behind the solution, here’s how the architecture works under the hood.

Microsoft Fabric serves as the central data environment, bringing together all of Allstar’s systems in a unified structure:

  • Data Sources: AccuLynx (project management), CallRail (marketing), Leap (sales), Sage Intacct (finance), Coast (fleet management) and Wells Fargo (banking).
  • Ingestion: Automated pipelines pull new data daily from each system.
  • Processing: Data is cleaned and standardized in Microsoft Fabric’s data lake (OneLake).
  • Medalion Architecture: Raw data is fed into the Bronze environment and a series of transformations and data cleansing steps are applied as it is promoted to the Silver and Gold environment.
  • Modeling: Key business metrics and relationships are defined to create a single, trusted model.
  • Reporting: Power BI connects directly to this model, allowing teams to explore and share live dashboards with a single centralized semantic model.

This structure allows Allstar to bring in new data sources over time without rebuilding the system, ensuring it scales alongside the company’s growth.

Faster Insights, Smarter Growth

Allstar’s new reporting platform replaced manual processes with automation and accuracy.

  • Instant visibility: Data from every brand and system updates automatically each day.
  • Consistent reporting: Everyone is using the same numbers and definitions.
  • More time for strategy: Teams can focus on decision-making instead of data wrangling.
  • Built to scale: As Allstar continues to grow, new brands and systems can easily plug into the same platform.
  • Strengthened security: Implemented Microsoft’s industry standard security practices by adhering to Fabric’s governance and compliance policies.

Leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Allstar’s leadership can see how the entire business is performing at a glance and make faster, more informed decisions to keep moving forward.
