Challenges with Off-The-Shelf Data Systems
Gordian’s off-the-shelf vendor platform had become more of a bottleneck than a solution. Despite paying a premium, they couldn’t make simple changes, adjust test structures, or analyze performance beyond surface-level metrics. The vendor owned the system—and by extension, the data. The lack of control and customization was holding their hiring process back.
A Custom Solution That Works the Way They Do
We designed and developed a custom testing platform from the ground up—tailored to Gordian’s workflows and deployed in their Microsoft Azure environment. The platform includes:
- A secure, branded web portal linked from their internal systems
- Intuitive test-building tools for admins and HR staff
- A smooth candidate experience for completing assessments
- Automated result summaries sent directly to internal teams
- Role-based access controls for internal security
- Big data reporting on question difficulty, performance trends, and test efficacy
- Seamless integration with Power BI and Tableau for advanced analysis
We also helped set up and manage the infrastructure—from code in GitHub to live deployment using Docker containers and Azure Web Apps.
Everything is now fully owned by Gordian—from code to cloud.
